Each piece of my series “Midnight Ocean” explores the depth of the world’s oceans just above the point where light does not penetrate it and lets light in; grief can quite often feel like the deepest part of the ocean, but there is always light present to bring us back to the surface. These colours, shades and textures complement the layers we experience in sadness and grief.
